1. She Is A Millenial

The Pop, R&B, and Indie Rock singer was born on the 27th day of March 1990, in Hamilton, New Zealand where she was raised. Her birth name is Kimbra Lee Johnson and the names of her parents are Chris Johnson and Ken Johnson. Her mom, Chris, is an orthopedic nurse while her father Ken worked at the University of Waikato’s student health center as the head doctor.

Kimbra is a graduate of Hillcrest High School, where she took part in the national schools’ musical competition Rockquest for 3 years running and was awarded second place at the age of 14 in 2014.

2. She Is A Grammy Award Winner 

We all know a lot of successful New Zealand celebrities but Kimbra’s name rings a bell for not just being successful, but for also holding the record as the third New Zealand microphone queen to have won a Grammy Award.
