The Kardashian family is probably the most famous family on earth. There is no other family that had fame served on a silver platter quite as much as the Kardashian family. Kourtney Kardashian is the first born in this family. Like everyone in her family, she is a socialite, model and a television personality. She has also tried her hands on acting, although she was not as successful in that as expected. Her life has been full of drama, some of her own, some from her family. They like being in the limelight, and they have commanded global attention for the past decade in an amazing way.
Kourtney Kardashian’s Family
Kourtney was born in Los Angeles, on the 18th of April, 1979. Her mother is the famous Kris Jenner. Her father, Robert Kardashian, was a renowned attorney. In fact, he got really famous for the role he played in the attention-grabbing O.J Simpson murder case. Kourtney attended Marymount high school in Los Angeles, and went on to pursue a degree in Theatre Arts at the University of Arizona. It goes without saying that Kourtney has both beauty and brains.
Her parents divorced in 1991 and her mother remarried a decathlon runner, Bruce Jenner. Just last year, 2015, Bruce underwent a transgender operation, and now goes by the name Caitlyn Jenner. From her first marriage, Kourtney Kardashian’s mother, Kris got four children. From her second marriage, Kris got two children. Furthermore, before Bruce married Kris, he had been previously married twice. The marriages produced four children two from each of the women, they include; Burton “Burt”, Brandon, Casey, and Brody. This leaves Kourtney with a total of 8 siblings. However the four children from Bruce’s previous marriages are far less popular and little or no information is known about them. As a result, Kourtney is widely regarded to have five siblings which all appear in the E! reality TV show.
Kourtney’s Siblings
Kourtney is the eldest of her popular five siblings. She has two sisters, Khloe and Kimberly Kardashian, and a younger brother, Robert Kardashian Junior. She also has two half- sisters from her mother’s second marriage, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The Kardashians came to fame after their mom Kris met with E!’s Ryan Seacrest to begin a reality TV show centered on her family. The show, Keeping Up with The Kardashians (KUWTK) debuted on the E! Network on 2007 and has since been running.
However, her sister, Kim Kardashian, is a celebrity in her own right. She is married to world famous rapper, Kanye West and her body figure has commanded worldwide attention for a long time. She has also raised a number of controversial issues, beginning with the sex tape between her and singer Ray J which was leaked in 2007. Kim is never afraid to stand up for her beliefs regardless of what the whole world thinks. This seems to run in the family as evidenced by Bruce Jenner’s bold move in undergoing the controversial transgender operation.
Kourtney got a taste of fame long before she featured “Keeping up with the Kardashians”. Back in 2005, she was featured in Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive, a reality show for charity.
As a business woman, Kourtney together with her mom opened a children’s boutique in Los Angeles called Smooch. Her sisters also have an entrepreneur streak in them, as they have several designer labels, ranging from perfumes to clothes to make up products. With her sisters she released a clothing line for Bebe. The Kardashians have the Midas touch as evidenced by their success in whatever they try. Also, with her siblings, they produced a book in 2010, titled Kardashian Konfidential.
Kourtney’s Husband, Kids and Motherhood
Kourtney met Scott Disick at a house party in 2006, one thing led to another and before you knew it, they had gotten into a committed relationship. Although they never officially married due to the frequent friction in their relationship, the pair had three kids together. Kourtney called it quits with Scott on July 2015. The break up was due to the pictures that emerged online of Scott frolicking with another woman identified as Chloe Bartoli, a celebrity stylist as well as due to Scott’s unending addiction to alcohol.
Kourtney’s firstborn is a cute boy named Mason Dash Disick. He was born on 14th of December, 2009. Mason, just like his mother, has had fame served to him from a very tender age. His very birth was recorded and aired on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Mason remained an only child for around three years, until he got a cute sister in 2012. His sister Penelope Scotland Disick was born on 8th of July 2012. Kourtney’s last child is a boy named Reign Aston Disick. He shares a birth date with his elder brother, but with an age difference of five years, as he was born in 2014. Kourtney’s children have been labeled as ordinary kids, completely untainted by how famous they are.
Kourtney Kardashian’s family has been labelled by many as overly dramatic and attention seeking. Regardless, she still places them top on her priority list.
