The Mom star was born as Kristen Angela Johnston on the 20th day of September 1967 in Washington D.C. She is the daughter of former Wisconsin Republican state senator Rod Johnston and his wife. Although she was born in Washington, Kristen grew up in Wisconsin. She also spent time in Sweden and South America as a teenager. She has two siblings named Scott and Julie. Sadly, their father kicked the bucket on 30th March 2018.
While she was growing up, Kristen completed her basic education at St. Eugene’s Catholic Grade School and Whitefish Bay High School both in Fox Point, Wisconsin. Upon graduation, she proceeded to New York University where she got a degree in drama.
