The amazing tennis star was born Lesia Viktorvina Tusrenko in Volodymyrets, Ukrainian SSR, the Soviet Union on May 30, 1989. She holds Ukrainian nationality and belongs to white ethnicity. Lesia started playing tennis when she was six years old; she was introduced to the game by her parents Viktor Tsurenko and his wife Larysa Tsurenko. Although she didn’t take the game seriously at the time, she started paying huge attention in her teenage years. Upon completion of her basic education, Tsurenko began her tennis career in earnest.

Career and Rise to Prominence

Tsurenko moved to Kiev where she started her professional tennis career in 2007. She made her main WTA first draw appearance in Tashkent in 2009; nevertheless, she lost out in the first round. Lesia also competed on the Ukrainian Federation Cup team from 2011 to 2013. She recorded two wins against Sara Errani and Francesca Schiavone in the Federation Cup tournament held in Italy in 2012. Lesia reached the 102nd position at the world ranking in 2012.

The amazing tennis star got her breakthrough in 2013 when she reached the semifinals at the WTA Premier Brisbane International Championship. In 2016, Lesia Tsurenko reached her first fourth-round grand slam round at the US Open. She triumphed over Dominika Cibulkova and Irina-Camelia Begu but lost to Roberta Vinci.
