Manish Dayal was born Manish Sudhir Patel in Orangeburg, South Carolina, United States, on the 17th of June, 1983. In terms of his educational journey, Manish Dayal was a high school student of Heathwood Hall Episcopal School. After he graduated successfully, he moved on to gain admission into George Washington University. Since he was young, he had fantasies about having a career in acting. After the completion of his university education, he sought to pursue a career in film/television which warranted him to move to New York City for better opportunities.
While he was in New York City, he got himself enrolled into the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts where he was trained in acting. He also began making commercial appearances for brands like Windows, Domino’s Pizza, Nintendo, and McDonald’s. Having spent five years in New York, he relocated to Los Angeles.
Manish Dayal’s career began to take shape after his move to Los Angeles as he had already set the groundwork and acquired the professional training he needed to take his career to the next level. Luckily for him, he made his debut on the television movie, Break the Addiction which was released in 2006. That same year, he was billed to star as the character Jack in the Telugu feature film titled Indian Beauty.
The year 2008 saw him play a lead character in the Broadway show Rafta, Rafta… He soon landed a significant but small role in the popular movies, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Paula van der Oest’s Domino Effect. Also, Manish Dayal has been part of some breakthrough series including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Outsourced, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Switched at Birth, and a host of others. Not much is known about his family, however, from his name and looks, one can easily tell that Manish Dayal is not indigenously from America though he was born in the country. The name of his father is Sudhir Patel, while his mother’s name is Hema Patel Sudhir; they are both originally from Gujarat, India.
Manish Patel is not the only child of his parents as he has three siblings. It is also interesting to note that Manish derived his stage name Dayal from his grandfather’s name.
