An American basketball player, Marcus Morris has become famous with the Boston Celtics with which he plays professionally in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Marcus Morris Biography, Age

The baller was born Marcus David Morris on September 2, 1989, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was here that he was raised alongside 4 brothers by their single mother, Thomasine “Angel” Morris.

Although he would come to be great in the game of basketball, what he had wanted as a child was to be a football player. It was, however, Dan Brinkley who would go on to become his agent that convinced him to give the game of basket a try. Why Brinkley decided to convince him to play basketball was because he was his coach while in high school.

For his education, Marcus Morris attended the Prep Charter High School just like his brother, and from there, he went to the University of Kansas. While he was in college, he was named Men’s Basketball Player of the Year in 2011 by the Big 12 Conference as well as a second-team All-American in the same year.

NBA Career

Marcus began his professional career when he was picked by the Houston Rockets in the 2011 NBA draft. He remained with the team until 2013 when he moved to the Phoenix Suns where he met and played alongside his brother.

It was there that he recorded his first double-double with career-highs of 34 points and 12 rebounds. He achieved this in 2015 before leaving for the Detroit Pistons where he remained until 2017. He made a career-high 36 points with the club in a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and then another 37 points in the game against the Portland Trail Blazers both in 2017.

His next move was to Boston Celtics where thus far, he is having a great run, recording at least 20 points in 4 straight games.

As noted earlier, Marcus Morris has 4 brothers, Donte, Blake, David, as well as his twin, Markieff Morris.
