She is the daughter of an Environmental Engineer named Michael Mayer while her mother Margaret Mayer happens to be an Art Teacher.  Marissa’s ethnicity has been identified as Finnish but her nationality is American. It is also known that she spent her formative years alongside a younger brother called Mason Mayer.
