Short was married for several years to Nancy Dolman, a former comic actress. The duo first met in 1972 while co-starring in the musical Godspell. They got married on December 22, 1980, after a period of dating. Together, they adopted 3 children; a daughter named Katherine and sons Oliver and Henry. Martin Short’s blissful marital union with Nancy Dolman came to end in August 2010 when the latter passed on. She died of ovarian cancer.
