Read on and see what we have got.

Matt Kenseth Bio (Age)

Mathew Roy Kenseth who was born in the year 1972 shares the same birthday 30th of March with celebrities like Celine Dion, Sergio Ramos, and a whole lot of others we have written about. His birthplace is Cambridge, Wisconsin where he was born to Roy Kenseth (father) a stock racing enthusiast, and his wife Nicola Sue Kenseth (Matt’s mother).

Matt had his high school education at Cambridge High School where he graduated in the early ’90s. He was however interested in car racing from a very young age and actually started racing from age 16 in the year 1988 at Madison International Speedway. After his high school education, he worked for 4 years in trading and shipping Left-hander Chassis, for a racecar manufacturer just south of Wisconsin in Illinois.

In his early years of racing, Matt needed only 3 starts to land his first car race victory. It wasn’t long he began racing late models against more experienced drivers like Dick Trickle, Rich Bickle, and Ted Musgrave. The year 1991 saw Matt Kenseth break the record of the youngest driver ever to win a race in the ARTGO Challenge Series. The same year, he was also named the Late Model Rookie of the Year at Slinger Speedway. His mastery of race tracks and response of cars in races continued to improve even as he recorded many race victories such that it became the norm to expect him to win any race he gears up for.

In 1994, he won the Miller Genuine Draft National Championship and his winning streak continued in the years that followed. Matt Kenseth won three Busch Series and also made his debut appearance on the big circuit that year. He joined the senior circuit in the year 2000 and had his first victory in the Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

His career has not been all rosy though as he had at different times gone through low ebbs either from race losses or notably the 2003 championship controversy he was involved in when he won only 1 out of 36 races but emerged champion by points. Nevertheless, the mark of a true champion is to bounce back whenever he is down and Matt is certainly one.

His other winnings include the 2004 International Race of Champions (IROC) championship, Sharpie 500 Bristol Motor Speedway in 2006, Auto Club 500 at California Speedway in 2007, Texas Motor Speedway win on April 9th, 2011, which stopped a 76-race winless streak for him. He also won at the FedEx 400 Dover International Speedway. Matt Kenseth became the 3rd driver after Kyle Busch and Cale Yarborough to win a race on their birthdays in Las Vegas in 2013.

In 2015, he started the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season by clinching victory in the Sprint Unlimited for the first time in his career. The few races he has been participating in since then have seen him record a lower number of wins unlike what we typically know him for.

Matt Kenseth Net Worth

Ross seems like he is going to take after his father as a race car driver just as his father took after his grandfather – though he wasn’t a professional stock car racer. Ross raced in limited late models as a 14-year-old and by the age of 16, he won a late model touring series in Wisconsin and northern Illinois called the Big 8 Series. Let’s watch out for him!
