Megan Boone is an American actress who first gained popularity for portraying Elizabeth Keen (FBI agent/profiler) on the NBC drama series The Blacklist. Boone is also a familiar face in Law & Order: LA series.
Boone said she knew straight away she will end up as an actress after her grandparents took her to see a Broadway play starring Nathan Lane when she was only seven years old.

Boone was born in Petoskey, Michigan on April 29, 1983. When she was a child, her parents moved to The Villages, Florida, where she and her siblings were eventually raised. Her ancestral tree is quite a complex one, she is German/English, a little of Scottish and Dutch, and then Hungarian-Jewish.
She attended Belleview High School. After high school, she headed to Florida State University’s School of Theatre where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Acting in 2005.
Megan Boone also studied at the Asolo Repertory Theatre under the tutelage of Edwin Sherin and Jane Alexander. She is currently doing an MBA in Sustainability from Bard College.

After school, Boone moved to LA where she began her career in doing theatre. Two years later, she was honored by LA Weekly for her outstanding performance in the play Limonade Tous Les Jours.
Her first screen debut came in 2009 when she starred in My Bloody Valentine 3D. This launched her into many other movies and television/films series. After My Bloody Valentine 3D, she appeared in Sex and the City 2, then as a Junior Deputy District Attorney in NBC’s short-lived series Law & Order: LA.
In 2012, she starred in Step Up Revolution and in Leave Me As You Found Me. Her role in Leave Me Like You Found Me, earned her the Gen Art Film Festival Award for Best Actress.
In 2013, she became a recurring face on the CBS drama series Blue Bloods, in the same year, she also began featuring as FBI agent Elizabeth Keen in The Blacklist.
Her other movies include Welcome to the Jungle, The Mustachioed Bandit Meets His End, Elijah, About Cherry, Family Games, Robot Chicken, The Cleaner, Cold Chase, etc.

Megan Boone has been in a relationship with Dan Estabrook – a famous Boston-based artist, photographer, and production designer.
Dan is a Harvard University graduate who also bagged an MFA from the University of Illinois. Boone and Dan have been engaged since 2016 and welcomed a baby girl Caroline Boone Estabrook the same year.
Her sweet little angel arrived on April 15th and the proud mom overwhelmed with joy, shared a portion of her daughter’s face via Instagram.
Boone had in November, confirmed she was expecting a baby with her longtime boyfriend when she was featured on Live! with Kelly and Michael.

Following the February 2018 mass shooting at a Florida high school, where close to twenty persons were killed by a gunman using an AR-15, The Blacklist star came out to apologize if her character as an FBI agent/profiler on the show ever made using the gun appear cool. She also, in addition, promised never to carry a rifle again on the show.
