Megan Olivi was born on the 29th of August in New Jersey as the youngest child of her family and has two older siblings. Though she was born in New Jersey, she was raised in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
In her young years, Megan Olivi was a very vibrant child. She excelled greatly in academics as well as athletics, however, it was her pull to academics that ultimately won her over. Following high school graduation, she proceeded to the Seton Hall University where she would come to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. As a college student, Megan Olivi interned with the Fox News Channel where she earned the rare opportunity of working with the renowned Megyn Kelly as an assistant during her work on the 2008 United States presidential election.
After earning her college degree, Megan Olivi chose to pursue a career in camera broadcasting. In a bid to arm herself with more knowledge about the field, she enrolled at Fordham University to study for a master’s degree in mass communication. She studied for just nine months before graduating Cum Laude with honors. Fresh off her post-graduate studies, Megan landed a job to cover combat sports. As a result, she relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to be closer to all things MMA. She then began hosting a UFC Preshow titled Fight Night where she profiled all the big athletes on the eve of the big games.
While with UFC, FOX Sports came knocking on her doors which she gladly opened. She covered MMA for the network in addition to working on their online platform, writing columns among other responsibilities. Fast forward to February 2013, Fox 6 News San Diego made her a correspondent, Social Media Reporter as well as host and producer of a weekly magazine show called “Padres POV.”
She later returned to Las Vegas, Nevada to continue working with the UFC. Outside her regular job, Olivi has other interests; she served at the 2017 Miss Universe Pageant as one of the final telecast judges.
She is also a huge animal lover and goes on frequent hikes with her dog which she shares with her husband. Olivi also enjoys other things in her free time including cooking, running, and yoga.

Megan Olivi married Benavidez on the 9th of October, 2015. The couple, in early 2018 served as hosts of The Animal Foundation’s 2018 Best in Show as co-chairs.
Olivi’s husband who is of Mexican descent was born in San Antonio, Texas, the United States on the 31st day of July 1984. He did most of his growing up in New Mexico where he attended Las Cruces High School. His passion for combat sports began to develop at the school where he trained both in wrestling and boxing.
After high school, Benavidez sought to go pro with his combat skills. To make ends meet while he trained, Benavidez took a job as a screen painter. Inspired by the success of the then-World Extreme Cagefighting star, Urijah Faber, Joseph Benavides in January 2007 went to Los Angeles with hopes of meeting him to impress him enough to earn a spot on his team.
He got his wish but the process was far from straightforward. Benavidez had been unable to locate Faber’s gym where he hoped to see him. Undeterred, he chose to fight at a random gym at Roseville where he beat everyone earning the right to be directed to see Faber.
Faber would come to employ him to serve at the front desk of his gym. Benavidez then began training at the gym and soon began landing fights quickly working his way up. Today, he has an estimated net worth of $2 million.
