The singer was born as Michael Steven Buble on the 9th day of September 1975 in Burnaby City of British Columbia in Canada to Lewis Buble and Amber who are both Canadian natives. His father was a fisherman and Michael was raised along with his two younger sisters Brandee and Crystal Buble. Brandee is a writer and has authored several children’s books while Crystal has established herself as an actress. Along with his parents and siblings, Michael spent his childhood days in British Columbia. He completed his education at Seaforth Elementary School as well as Cariboo Hill High School.
While growing up, Michael wanted to be a hockey player but later gave it up so he could pursue a career in music. Starting his music career as a teenager, Michael adopted the stage name ‘Mickey Bubbles’. He performed at different shows and events including nightclubs in their neighborhood.
