Michael Craig Judge popularly known as Mike Judge, was born in Guayaquil on the 17th of October 1962, the second child of three siblings. His father, William James Judge, worked in Guayaquil for a not for profit organization, working extensively to create awareness for proper agricultural development. Michael’s mother, Margaret Yvonne, on the other hand, is a professional archeologist and also worked as a librarian.
From the age of seven, Michael Judge was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was enrolled into the St. Pius X High School. Upon leaving high school, he gained admission into the University of California, San Diego to study Physics. Having successfully fulfilled all requirement needed for his course, he graduated in 1986.
After the completion of his university education, Michael Judge wasn’t exactly thrilled with the idea of pursuing a career in the sciences but one thing that has always been a dire passion of his was entertainment and arts with a leaning towards animation. As a result of this, he made a future-defining decision to move down to Silicon Valley in 1987, where he joined a startup video card company named Parallax Graphics located in Santa Clara. However, he resigned just after working with the firm for less than 3 months.
Mike then enrolled as a graduate math student at the University of Texas in Dallas. While he was taking classes, he also joined the music band Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets. He played with the band for two years and got the chance to be featured in the band’s release , in 1990. While still with the band, Mike Judge became interested in creating short animated skits after watching one in a movie theatre. This led him to purchase a Bolex 16 mm film camera to start creating. His first creation, a short animated film named, “Office Space” was bought by Comedy Central in 1991.
The following year, he developed the characters Beavis and Butt-Head, which were featured on MTV. The characters would, later on, be developed into full-blown animated series, one of which had Mike’s voices on both characters. The animated series has gone on to become one of his greatest achievements with animation. Other animated series created by him include: Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus, Silicon Valley and King of the Hill.

The couple got separated after having their daughters but the exact date of their divorce isn’t recorded.
When the divorce was finalized, Mike found love again and began dating a new woman named Katrina Bronson. Together, they welcomed a son whom they christened, Charles Judge but split not too long after. In 2012, Judge met Cherie Thibodeaux who he dated for two years until their break up in 2014.
