Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born on the 7th of July 1981 in Ranchi, Bihar India. His father Pan Singh was an employee at the steel industry, MECON. Dhoni has two siblings which include a brother named Narendra Singh Dhoni and sister Jayanti Gupta.

He attended DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali, Ranchi, Jharkhand school where his athletic side immediately became apparent. Saski who was studying for a degree in hotel management at the DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali was at the time interning at the hotel. Amazingly, Dhoni and Saski were schoolmates at Jawahar Vidya but they never met for once as Saski was his junior.

On Saski’s last day as an intern in the hotel, Dhoni happened to be lodging at the hotel in preparation for their match against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens. But both parties didn’t just bump into each other… instead, they were introduced by a mutual friend in the person of Dhoni’s manager Yudhajit Dutta who was also Sakshi’s friend. Dutta was at the hotel to check on Dhoni when he called on Sakshi and introduced her to Dhoni.

Following their initial meeting, Dhoni required of his manager Saski’s phone number unknown to her and began texting her. Saski was initially unaware that the wooing texts were from Dhoni but subsequently, she got to know and the two began a romantic relationship in 2008.

The pair did a good job keeping their romance away from the media which became shocked at the news of their wedding, on July 4th, 2010 which came just a day after their engagement. The pair had begun planning for their big day three months prior.

Sakshi Dhoni was born on 19 November 1988 in Guwahati, India to parents R K Singh and Sheila Singh. She has two siblings Akshay Singh, Abhilasha Bisht. Saski’s father, in the past, ran a tea growing business.
