Narvel Wayne Blackstock was born in Tarrant County, Texas in the United States on August 31, 1956. Right from his childhood, Narvel has always developed an interest in sounds and music, from when he joined the local bands he was performing as a steel guitarist. There’s not much information about Blackstock’s family and he too has decided to keep it on a low profile.
Narvel formed band groups with his friends and continued to play the steel guitar until he became a pro. He didn’t garner fame as a guitarist until he ventured fully into the music and entertainment business. He came into the limelight after he met the iconic country music singer named Reba McEntire. Blackstock became Reba’s manager and later, they both formed their own talent management company called Starstruck Entertainment. Their company managed singer Reba as well as other notable singers such as Blake Shelton.
Narvel also managed other musical albums including Forever Love in 1998, Secret of Giving released in 1999, Reba: Video Gold II in 2006, Malibu Country that was released in 2012, and Not So Family Christmas also in the same year.

Their marriage, however, lasted for about fifteen years before they went their separated years. They were blessed with three children – Brandon, Shawna Rene, and Chassidy Celeste Blackstock. Elisa and Narvel went their separate ways in 1988.
Prior to their divorce, Narvel met the singer Reba in 1980, and after his separation from Elisa; he took his relationship with the singer to the next level. The power couple got married in 1989 in a private ceremony held on a boat in Lake Tahoe. They have a son named Shelby McEntire Blackstock, Reba also became a mother to Narvel’s three children from his earlier marriage.
However, after twenty-six years of marriage, just like his first marriage; Narvel, having had a wonderful marital relationship with Reba called it quits with Reba.
