You are probably wondering if this is about a basketball player who plays for an NBA team. No! This is all about Kentrell DeSean Gaulden. He is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Maybe you listened to one of his songs – “Outside Today”. Yes! That’s the one. For some reason, he prefers to be called “YoungBoy Never Broke Again”. That’s a pretty long and ridiculous nickname, so let’s just stick with “NBA YoungBoy”. Do you want to know more about this guy? Come with us…
NBA Youngboy Bio (Age)
First of all, he is a child. No! Seriously, no pun intended. NBA YoungBoy was born on October 20, 1999, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. So you see, he is indeed a “YoungBoy”.
He is an American citizen, but of African-American origin. His childhood was not really idle, as his mother did not do much to raise him. Also, his father was hard to be seen in the picture – the man was sitting behind bars and served a 55-year prison sentence. The law caught up with him when Youngboy was only 8 years old. So the rapper was raised by his maternal grandmother until she died of heart failure.
It is believed that this boy received his musical talent from his mother, who was once a rapper. Youngboy began writing songs and singing when he was much younger. He dropped out of high school in the 9th grade to concentrate on music, and soon he started producing music at the age of 14. In 2014 he released his first mixtape “Life Before Fame”. Mixtapes 1, 2, and 3 of “Mind of a Menace” followed. The following year NBA Youngboy and his rapper colleague Scotty Cain dropped out. In December of the same year, he decided to translate his anger into lyrics. He released a rap-beef song, which was answered by another rap-beef song of his rival. As expected, this rap battle received so much attention and, interestingly, became the first NBA date with fame.
His musical career began to take shape, but then in November 2016 he got a scratch with the law and had to sit behind bars for a while. This slowed him down, but there was no stopping him. During his imprisonment, he published three more songs: “Win or Lose”, “Don’t Matter” and “Too Much”. A week after he got out, he released another “Untouchable”. Youngboy released his first album “Until Death Call My Name” on April 27, 2018.
NBA Youngboy had several unpleasant encounters with the law, he seems to have a penchant for breaking the rules. Shortly after he left school to continue his music career, he was arrested and sent to a juvenile detention center for robbery.
You would think that he learned his lesson after that purchase, you would be surprised. Sometime in November 2016 Youngboy was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder. Apparently, he was involved in a drive-by shooting. This time he was sentenced to a suspended sentence of 10 years probation and 3 years active probation – that was in August 2017. In February 2018 he has arrested again for assault, weapons violation, and kidnapping. According to what we found out, he was locked up but released on $75,000 bail in March 2018. The case is still hanging around his neck.
NBA Youngboy Net Worth
The NBA is not outrageously rich, but he boasts net assets in excess of $1 million. That’s how much he has earned in a short time with his songs and YouTube channels. At this rate, Youngboy will probably never go broke again. In fact, he once bragged about not wearing the same outfit twice. It is said that he would throw them to the fans during his performances. Meanwhile, it is reported that the five-album contract he signed with Atlantic in October 2016 is worth $2 million.
Kids And Girlfriend
The rapper is currently dating Instagram star, Jania Jackson. The kick-off was in December 2017 and the two are no strangers to social media drama. There are rumors that he cheats on Jania and is violent towards her. His ex-girlfriends Mallu Trevejo and Danielle Bregoli are said to have had a public fight over him. He even has four children: Kamiri, Kamron, Kayden, and Taylin. All from different baby mamas. Despite everything that happened, they have remained inseparable.
Height – How Tall Is He?
At the time of writing this article, the NBA is about 8 inches taller than 5 feet. Given his age, it is very likely that this musician will grow taller in the near future.
