She was born to former professional tennis player Petr Korda and his wife Regina Rajchrtová who played for the Czech Republic, their home country. Among the three children born to tennis players, only one, their son Sebastian followed in their footsteps and is doing remarkably well in his chosen career. Their daughters, on the other hand, chose to blaze their own trail on the golf course, building their careers from the amateur stage to their current status as professionals. In addition to her victory, she ended the season on the 9th position on the money list which secured her the LPGA Tour card for 2017. The same year, Nelly finished eighth in the July Marathon Classic.
