Nick Cannon’s Kids
Most of you may not know this yet, then again it may be common knowledge, but the star is a proud father of three kids. Yes, not only does he have children from his ex-wife, Mariah Carey, but there has been a new addition to his family and we are about to get on that topic right now.
Nick Cannon’s kids with Mariah Carey were both born on 30 April 2011, it was not only a special day because of their birth, but the day also marked their third wedding anniversary. The couple celebrated it by renewing their wedding vows in the hospital, right there with Rev. Al Sharpton.
The fraternal twins were named Moroccan Scott Cannon (the boy) and Munroe Cannon (the girl). Here is a breakdown of the names for you, in case you need an origin story. According to People, Moroccan comes from the top-tier of Carey’s New York City apartment, which features Moroccan-inspired décor and was also the site of Cannon’s marriage proposal.
Scott is Nick’s middle name and his grandmother’s maiden name. Then, Munroe was named after Marilyn Monroe, who has been an inspiration to Carey. It is common knowledge that the couple’s divorce was finalized in 2016, and they both moved on to other people. Well, baby number 3 is a product of his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Bell.
The two welcomed their son, Golden ‘Sagon’ Cannon, on the 21st of February, 2017. Golden has even met his big brother and sister and it seems to be a love-love relationship, we hope to see more of them together.
Nick Cannon’s Ex- Wife
There is probably not a soul out there who does not know her name or at least a handful of her songs. Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s marriage was quite publicized, especially because of the 11 or 12 years age difference the two have between each other (with Mariah being the older one).
It was love at first sight for the couple, they met on the set of her 2008 music video, Bye Bye and 2 months later they were hitched. Of course, people were skeptical, it was so sudden and then that glaring age difference as well as the difference in bank account balances, but the couple seemed as happy as ever and were constantly gushing over each other.
By April 2011, the family of two became a family of four and after carrying and giving birth to the twins Morocco and Munroe, Mariah swore off childbirth saying, ‘ To anyone who has ever carried twins, it is a totally different experience…You don’t even know who you are.’ They did take that opportunity to renew their wedding vows and throughout the course of their marriage, they had annual wedding vow renewals.
The two even got couple tattoos, Mariah got Mrs. Cannon on her lower back and Nick got Mariah tattooed on across his shoulder. Soon there was trouble in paradise as Nick’s very tight schedule started getting in the way of family time and Nick made some confessions on the radio that did not sit right with the Missus (hint hint, he slept with Kim K).
So, after 6 years their marriage went down the drain, but according to sources, they still maintain a good relationship and have tremendous respect for each other.
Nick Cannon’s Girlfriend
It is not clear if he is currently in a relationship, but one would think that the star has too much going on for that. The closest thing he has to a girlfriend at the moment is his ex-girlfriend and newest baby mama, Brittany Bell. It has been up to two months since the couple welcomed their baby boy, Golden into the world.
The two seem to be on very good terms and they have us wondering if they are more than just friends and co-parents.
