Niecy Nash is an American actress, model, producer, and stand-up comedian. Her full names are Carol Denise “Niecy” Nash.

She was born on the 23rd of February 1970 in Compton, California. She spent her early years in St. Louis Missouri where she discovered her life’s dream at age 5. Niecy graduated from California State University.
Niecy is fiercely passionate about the effects of violence on society after she nearly lost her mother who was shot by her own boyfriend. Her mother later recovered from the injuries but that was not to be the last of gun violence in the family, in 1993 her brother Michael lost his life to gun violence. Nash had to sit back and watch her mother sink into depression. She figured out creative ways to help her mum snap out of her depression, she resorted to telling her jokes, and soon realized she had some hidden talent in comedy.
Her mum went on to start M.A.V.I.S (Mothers against Violence in Schools). The objective of the program is to inform the public of the violence and danger students do face on campuses. Niecy is currently the National spokesperson for M.A.V.I.S.
Niecy made her acting debut in the 1995 movie Boys on the Side. She had quite numerous guest-starring roles in TV series such as NYPD, CSI, and Judging Amy. From 2003-2009 she played the role of deputy Williams and T.T on the series Reno 911. She also hosted in addition, the Clean House on style from the period 2003-2010 as well as being the voice of Mrs. boos on the animated series Slacker Cats. She did win a Daytime Emmy award in 2010 and received critical acclaim and 2 Primetime Emmy Awards in a comedy series and she also received a Critics Choice Award for best supporting actress in a comedy series nomination for her terrific performance as nurse Denise “Didi” Ortley in the HBO comedy Getting On (2013-2015).
Nash then hit the comedy world hard by putting her comedic skills into work when she hosted the aforementioned Clean House and in 2008, she appeared in her very own sitcom Do Not Disturb alongside Jerry O’Connell, it was a shame that the series was indeed short-lived but Nash didn’t look like slowing down a bit. In 2010 she showed her fans a different side of herself by starring in the dance series “Dancing with the stars”. Two years after that appearance she appeared on TV comedy, the Soul Man with Cedric the Entertainer. But in 2015, she changed her acting scope a little by appearing in a horror-comedy Scream Queens with Emma Roberts and James Lee Curtis.
Niecy’s most recent film work Not Easily Broken, is based on the best-selling book by Bishop T.D. Jakes. She is also working on the Walt Disney Pictures summer blockbuster release, G-Force, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
