Her name is Ashley Manning and she is the definition of a ‘ride or die’. She started dating the athlete a long time before he even dreamt of becoming the Sheriff. She grew up and lived in Memphis, Tennessee and was introduced to him by a neighbor.
According to Heavy, the neighbor had played football at the University of Tennessee and hosted Peyton on a recruiting trip. The neighbor thought Ashley and Peyton would be perfect for each other. Ashley remembers her first impression of Peyton was that he seemed very genuine.
She obviously was not in it for the loot, because he had not even played a college game yet, all he had was pure, raw potential. By March, 2001, the two sealed the deal when Ashley walked down the aisle and started her journey as Peyton’s partner and supporter for life.
