The actress was born in Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia, in Canada, on October 23, 1985. Young Priscilla was enrolled the following year in the Screen Actors Studio in her hometown Victoria to take classes in acting.
The talented actress left British Columbia for Vancouver in 2007 with the hope of getting better acting opportunities. She got some work doing television commercials and was later given a minor role by popular American actor and producer, Steven Seagal, in his TV series titled True Justice. It is worthy of note that Priscilla Faia, at this time, was a student at the Actor’s Foundry under the tutelage of Matthew Harrison.
Priscilla Faia got her first major break in acting when she was given the role of Chloe Price in Rookie Blue, a Canadian television series released in 2010. She made her first appearance in the second episode of its fourth season. Following her excellent acting in the series, the Canadian-born actress was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or Series at the 2014 edition of the prestigious Canadian Screen Awards.
Since then, Priscilla has featured in other films and TV series. In 2014, she appeared in just one episode of Seed, a Canadian TV sitcom. She assumed the role of Kate in My One Christmas Wish released in 2015. The Victoria native was a part of the popular Canadian drama series, Motive, which began airing in February 2013. Its premiere was ranked first in the Canadian Series premiere for that calendar year. She starred as the Lori Schultz character which ended in just one episode.
Currently, Priscilla Faia stars as Izzy in You Me Her, a comedy-drama series that started airing in 2016. Her role is a major one as she has appeared in the four seasons released so far. The talented actress was nominated for Best Actress at the 2016 ACTRA Award and in 2017, she got nominated for Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series at the Leo Awards.
Outside the movie industry, Faia has been a major advocate for many humanitarian efforts across the globe. In 2013, UNICEF initiated the Canadian Charity Challenge campaign to Machu Picchu in an effort to safeguard the lives of children living in rural areas. Faia, alongside her fellow Rookie Blue stars, Peter Mooney and Charlotte Sullivan, bought the initiative and went down to Machu Picchu located in Peru in solidarity with UNICEF.
