The comedian received her high school education at the prestigious Worthington High School, from which she passed out in the year 1986. She later enrolled at Otterbein College for her tertiary studies and graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre.

Rachael Harris began her career in the early 1990s at the Groundlings, a Los Angeles-based improvisational & sketch comedy troupe and institution of learning.
