With the news that the third season of our favorite series is set to air, a was released at the San Diego Comic-Con and it teased on some dark times ahead including Chic Cooper becoming the Black Hood’s apprentice. While the trailer hinted at Alice joining Penny’s cult, it also suggested that Varchie (Veronica and Archie) won’t let the fact that Veronica’s parents almost definitely framed Archie for murder get them down. It showed Veronica going up against her dad Hiram and teased that Archie wouldn’t be in prison for long.

According to various reports, episodes of Riverdale Season 3 will be aired on a weekly basis in line with US broadcast, as such, there won’t be any installments during the midseason break.

For the binge watchers, all episodes will be released on the streaming platform and only subscribers to Netflix can watch Riverdale in the UK and can download episodes to certain mobile devices to watch offline. Moreover, the first two seasons are on Netflix for fans to watch.

Season 3 would have a flashback episode which will see more secrets spilling out. In the said , all the younger cast members played their parents in high school back in the 90s. Reinhart as young Alice, Sprouse will play young FP, Apa will take on Fred Andrews, Mendes will portray Hermione, Madelaine Petsch will be her mother Penelope, and Ashleigh Murray will bring young Sierra McCoy to life.

In episode 4 which also happens to be the flashback episode, the big murder mystery would be projected. The series creator, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa explained that the murder victims in the present were playing a game called ‘Griffins & Gargoyles’ which interestingly, the kids discovered that their parents also played in high school and that there was a similar murder that happened back then.

Moreover, at the 2018 Comic-Con, it was revealed that the parents would be filming a lot more scenes together. This could be because it’s about to be revealed that they collectively share one big secret.

Bad news for Archie’s legal situation. Ms. Wright is a savvy and eloquent attorney, she is absolutely dedicated to getting Archie behind bars. According to a CW press release, she will weave together disparate moments of Archie’s young life so as to portray him as a dangerous, violent sociopath who is capable of committing a heinous crime.

Archie may not be the only one who is in for the heat. The lives of other favorite characters could be hanging in the balance including the main characters as it has been teased that there’s death right off the bat this season. A promo released by CW hints that Jughead would have another brush with death if he’s not careful.

This season could see an end to Bughead as Lili Reinhart said that she doesn’t want to play Cooper her whole life. She may leave Riverdale and boyfriend Jughead behind even as there are theories that the duo could split, this is according to another .

As against the speculations that there could be some sort of crossover between the series and fellow Archie Comics show, The Chilling Adventures on Sabrina, one of the cast members Ashleigh Murray, who plays Josie McCoy says there won’t be anything as such.

The circumstances surrounding Archie’s arrest and charges following the murder of Cassidy Bullock will kick off the drama of season 3 as the gang tries to #FreeArchie. Although we already know he didn’t commit the crime, the presence of Hiram Lodge who continues to make good his plans to control not only Riverdale but the ever-growing SoDale, it would be a tough one for him to escape. This storyline would apparently mark one of the main conflicts of the season.
