The American professional basketball player Ronald Delaine Baker fondly called Ron Baker was born March 30, 1993, to Neil and Ranae Baker in Hays, Kansas where he grew up alongside his two other siblings Audrey and Sloan. He attended Scott City High School, Scott City, Kansas, after which he enrolled at Wichita State College, where he studied Business Finance from 2012 to his graduation date in 2016.

After a successful high school basketball career, Ron Baker’s college career did not actually start off on a high note as he was redshirted for the whole first season of his college career which made him not to play for the Shockers. Although he was later given a chance to play for his college team, Ron was not able to make an impressive performance as an efficient scorer, coupled with an injured left foot, he managed to appear in only 18 games. In spite of having a successful career in high school and college, Ron Baker was not drafted into the NBA which made him to tag along with the New York Knicks for the NBA Summer League and was signed on August 1, 2016, by the Knicks. He played his first match for the team on October 25, 2016, he recorded in 7 minutes 5 points and 1 rebound but the Knicks, unfortunately, lost the match to Cleveland Cavaliers in a 117-88 defeat. He also scored 13 points on December 15, 2016, as the team suffered a 103 – 90 defeat against the state warriors.
