Ryan Gosling’s Wife
So we all know Ryan Gosling doesn’t have a wife, but he does have someone he is currently shacking up with, it’s Eva Mendes! Make no mistake though, these two are not playing house, they have been together since 2011 and now have two daughters together. So though they may not be married, you know it’s a serious affair.
They have to be one of the most private couples in Hollywood, one minute they were starring alongside each other and the next Eva was having a baby. Well, here’s a rough road map that led to them ‘shacking up. The two met while shooting their 2012 movie, The Place Beyond The Pines.
Despite this, they were first linked on September 11 when they shared some PDA and a trip to Disneyland, by December that year they cuddled up in bed to shoot Funny or Die‘s Drunk History Christmas, and by the next February, while Ryan was filming, Only God Forgives in Thailand, Miss Mendes was seen visiting him on the Island.
Later on that year there were speculations of a break-up, but the two put them to rest by going for a romantic stroll, and later Gosling took her as a plus one to his mum’s graduation. Believe us when we say, there was more PDA to come, lots of it, then by 2014 BOOM! News of there being a new addition to their family popped up.
As if one bundle of cuteness wasn’t enough, the couple had their second daughter last year. So why isn’t this woman Ryan Gosling’s wife already? There have been lots of speculations but with how private this couple is, we will never know unless they tell us themselves.
Then again Hollywood has proved times without number that there’s no specific format for finding happiness with your soulmate… a baby in a carriage may come first, marriage may come last, it’s the love that matters.
Ryan Goslings Daughters
Ryan is a proud daddy of two girls, Esmeralda Amada Gosling, born on 12 September 2014, and Amada Lee Gosling born on 29 April 2016. Yes, you saw correctly, they ‘kind of’ have the same name. It was not an oversight on her parent’s part, here’s Eva to explain exactly why her daughters share a name.
She told Latina Magazine, ‘ My grandmother’s name is Amada, and Esmeralda Amada is the name of our oldest, We had a few names picked out for our new baby, and when she was born, we didn’t feel like those names were her.’
She added, ‘ We came up with a few more, even that morning, and tried them out. We were like, ‘What about Viviana?’ But we just kept going back to Amada. It was an emotional time with the passing of my brother. We thought how beautiful to go with what made us emotional and with what felt like her. When we looked at her, we thought, ‘Aww, Amadita.’ (Which means love).
Here comes the real explanation, ‘ In true Latin fashion, we reuse names all the time, I actually told [Ryan], ‘This is common in Latin culture, so it wouldn’t be crazy.’
Ryan feels more than blessed to have his two babies, though he is usually quite guarded with his private life he couldn’t help gushing at the Toronto International Film Festival, ‘ They’re angels, It’s the happiest time in my life.’ Well someone is ready to spread the baby fever.
