Nowadays, some women are taking on the arduous but rewarding task of sculpting their bodies to perfection. One of such women who has achieved a significant amount of success is Icelandic American-born international fitness and muscle model, Sara Piana. Find out more about her below.
Sara Piana – Biography
Sara Heimisdóttir, the fitness model, was born in Reykjavik, Iceland on the 4th of July 1989. Growing up, she was quite a vivacious young girl and this endeared her to many people. She was and is still passionate about modeling; thus at the age of 12, Sara Piana began her modeling career. While modeling at such a young age, she also created ample room to express herself the more through singing and dancing.
As Sara Piana got older, she joined social media, particularly Instagram (sara.ice.queen) where she began posting pictures in September 2012. Piana posted fitness photos which were sometimes accompanied by inspirational quotes or the quotes came singly on their own at times.
From Instagram, Sara Piana ventured off to YouTube where she now runs an account distinct from her ex-husband’s. On the video-sharing platform, she makes and uploads videos of her workouts. The about section of the channel has it that the channel is her main YouTube channel as all other channels are fake. The channel has been in existence since October 20, 2015. It has amassed thousands of video views as well as a commendable number of subscribers. Furthermore, the channel also stocks videos she had made in the past about her life experiences and the things she learned from them.
In the course of her career, Sara Piana has not been working in isolation. She has worked hard enough to workout alongside celebrity bodybuilders like Mike O’Hearn and more to come.
Family
As earlier hinted, Sara Piana had a man in her life but not anymore. Her man was not just like every other man but one who understood the demands of her career as a fitness model due to the fact that he, Rich Piana, was also a fitness model as well as a YouTuber.
Rich Piana and Sara Piana married sometime in 2015, however by November 2016, the couple was already divorced. Rich accused Sara of marrying him mainly because she wanted to get United States green card. He also accused her of stealing from him and subsequently, their marriage was annulled. Following this annulment, Rich got back in a relationship with his first wife – fitness model Chanel Jansen
On August 11, 2017, tragedy struck Rich. He collapsed and hit his head while having Jansen do his haircut. When paramedics arrived at his home, they reportedly found white powder and an inhaling tube. They suspected that Rich might have overdosed on the substance and administered an anti-drug overdose on him. They also noticed that he was not breathing properly but managed to restore his breathing after some time. At this point, brain damage had already set in following an elongated period of oxygen deprivation to his brain. At the hospital, he was put in a medically induced coma which lasted for many days but sadly, Rich Piana didn’t make it through. He died on August 25, 2017, at the age of 46.
Facts About Rich Piana’s Ex-Wife – Sara
Though we don’t know much about her parents, a video she posted on her twitter handle on June 18, 2018, had the fitness model wishing her father a happy father’s day. The post read “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY – CHRIS MILLER – LOVE YOU – DAD LIFE”. Looking at the pictures of the man in the video, it appears to be that Sara Piana’s father is a bodybuilder as well.
Aside from her love for fitness, another thing Sara Piana listed that she adores is animals. On her Instagram handle, she described herself as an animal lover. On taking a quick look through the various posts she has made, we spotted several pictures she took with a white Chihuahua. However, the most recent pictures she posted of herself and the canine had her stating that she misses her fur friend. This suggests that the dog might have crossed the rainbow.
