Scarlett Johansson’s Husband, Boyfriend And Sisters

Hollywood relationships hardly last, whether it’s a boyfriend-girlfriend type or the more personal institution of holy matrimony. We could argue that celebrities and non-celebrities are all alike on this one but the Hollywood couples are all up in our faces, so we notice their love lives crumble more often (thank you media).

Today, it’s all about Scarlett Johansson; the story of how her first marriage crumbled and if the second one will follow suit.

Scarlett Johansson’s Husband(s)

You probably already know this, but the star has been married twice, and you most probably know who first held the title of Scarlett Johansson’s husband. If you guessed Ryan Reynolds, then you guessed right. The couple, who met in 2007, got married in 2008 and it all went downhill after that. Here’s all we gathered for you on that topic.

Scarlett Johansson’s Husband; Ryan Reynolds

He’s at the top as husband number one, as we mentioned before, the couple met in 2007 and got married a year later. Their wedding was quite private and so was their relationship, in fact, most people did not even notice that they were married. So you can bet that it has been incredibly difficult to find out what really went wrong.

Trust the media, little tidbits of information, released in coded statements from both parties have been gathered together and now we have a rough picture of what may have caused trouble in paradise. So sit tight as we try to piece it together for you.

This year, Scarlett dropped a little hint about there being a bit of competition between her ex husband and her. She told Cosmopolitan, ‘ The logistics of being with another actor are challenging, there has to be a real understanding of how you share your time, especially when two people’s careers are going at the same rate. Or even if one person is more successful than the other, that also proves challenging. There may be a competitive thing.’

Oh, you bet that the statement was picked up as an insight into why the relationship failed, but that’s not all. There have been speculations that the relationship may have begun with infidelity; Ryan was engaged to the singer Alanis Morisette for 4 years (2003-2007) and the same year they split up, his relationship with Scarlett came out of nowhere.

Although it is no guarantee that a marriage is doomed because it was borne of cheating, studies show that relationships that begin with one or both partners cheating don’t last long. Also, Ryan had just gotten out of a serious long term relationship and Scarlett was quite young, maybe neither of them was prepared for marriage.

Scarlett might have implied that she was not ready in a 2014 interview with Glamour, she said, ‘ I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship. And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself. That’s not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life.’

Seems like the couple had a lot working against them and their marriage came to an end in 2011. Now let’s move unto husband number 2.

Scarlett Johansson’s Husband; Romain Dauriac

Husband number two is a French journalist and a former editor of French urban art magazine. Romain has since moved on to become the manager of a creative agency. The couple met through a common friend and tattoo artist, Fuzi Uvtpk, and started dating in 2012. Two years later, in a very private ceremony on a ranch in Montana, they tied the knot.

This wedding took place a month after they welcomed their baby girl, Rose Dorothy Dauriac, into the world. Marriage number two seems to be going on well, but the tabloids would rather it didn’t. Stories of there being a divorce in their future, are popping up all over the place, but we believe they are all lies till the star proves us wrong.

Scarlett Johansson’s Sisters

Although, altogether, the star has 4 siblings, we have had enough ‘man’ talk for today. It’s time for some girl talk, and we mean that literally, we are going to talk about girls.

Scarlett has two sisters, you may have seen her older sister, Vanessa Johansson, in the movies,  Day of the Dead (2008), Battle for Terra (2007) and Shark in Venice (2008). Both siblings are in the show business, but Scarlett is evidently more accomplished. Nevertheless, the siblings recently collaborated on a fun new project together.

This year, the ‘girls’ voiced an audio book based on the adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland and apparently had a lot of fun doing it. Vanessa told People, ‘There was a lot of laughter, a lot of goofiness happening, the story certainly warrants a lot of that. It’s a total wacky, crazy story – we were like, Oh my god, that was written for children?! It’s so out-there, really.’

That sounded like a whole lot of fun. Meanwhile, sister number two came into all their lives in 2010, when Scarlett Johansson’s mother, Melanie Sloan, adopted a baby from Ethiopia. The newest addition to the family, Fenan Sloan, was 19-20 months old at the time and Scarlett’s mother had to miss the premiere of ‘Iron Man 2’ to pick her youngest daughter from her birth country.

No doubt, she’s a big girl now and we hope to hear some wacky sibling stories in the future.
