Silicon Valley Season 6 – Everything to Know About HBOs Tech Comedy

Silicon Valley is an HBO satirical movie series created by , John Altschuler, and Dave Krinsky, which tells the travails and victories of a tech startup founded by a computer programmer, Richard Hendricks, and his four colleagues. The startup’s hope is centered on the Pied Piper (a one-of-a-kind data compression algorithm) as they battle a bigger tech company (Hooli) which poses a big threat to the startup. After many obstacles, odd moments and lots of programming, the startup succeded with the Pied Piper Coin gaining traction which had the company, Pied Piper moving into a new huge office. The series started in 2014 with its first season and several other series followed afterward with the latest being Silicon Valley Season 6 which we discussed many facts about it here.

Silicon Valley is one of those TV shows which have gotten not just the attention of consumers of tech products but also CEOs of tech giants. 1. Production of Silicon Valley Season 6 was Delayed

Six months after the last episode of Season 5 aired (May 13, 2018), TVLine announced that the production of Silicon Valley Season 6 will be delayed till the Summer of  2019; this report was confirmed by an HBO spokesperson who cited Alec Berg’s busy schedule as the reason for the postponement.

The release of the previous five seasons of Silicon Valley had always been within late March and blooming April. This production delay news met fans with de re mixed emotions as most lovers of the series were disappointed at the time but the good news, however, is that it has finally been made public that the sixth season would debut on Sunday the 27th of October, 2019.

2. After Season 6, What Next?

It is no longer news that the satirical tech movie will be ending with the sixth season. Though as a matter of fact, many expect the series to continue, it is obvious that Mike Judge has either run out of ways to humor the twenty-first century IT industry or that he is now busy with other works. Regardless of what it may be, we are now certain that the series will be ending with the sixth but we are hoping that this does not leave a sore space in our hearts as we will most definitely miss Richard Hendricks and his scrappy crew.

3. Season 6 has Lesser Number of Episodes

Silicon Valley Season Season 6 reportedly has just 7 episodes making it the only season with the least number of episodes, others had at least 8 to 10 episodes each. Although this might sound disheartening to fans, looking on the bright side it also means that the HBOs tech comedy will be all over in seven weeks, right?

4. Trailer Release 

A trailer has recently been released for the 6th season of the Silicon Valley series giving us a glimpse of what to expect in the show. On the trailer, ’s Richard Hendricks is seen delivering an embarrassing congressional testimony almost like that of Mark Zukerberg from the real Silicon Valley.

Season six will definitely be a tough one on the Pied Piper crew, but as always the best bet is that they would emerge a better tech company than ever before and with proud battle scars too.

5. Characters Who are Returning to the Show

After T.J. Miller’s much-publicized exit from the show after season 4, we have to know who and who to expect in this last season. For the 6th season Thomas Middleditch returns as Richard Hendricks, we still have Kumail Nanjiani as Dinesh Chugtai, Martin Starr as Bertram Gilfoyle, as Donald Dunn, as Jian Yang, Matt Ross as Gavin Belson, Chris Williams as Hoover, as Monica, as Laurie Bream and Bernard White as Denpok.
