Yeun Sang Yeop was born on December 21, 1983, in Seoul, South Korea to his parents – Je Yeun (father) and Jun Yeun (mother). His father was a famous architect in Seoul before moving to the United States from Canada after living in Canada for one year. He also has a younger brother, Brian Yeun. They moved to Michigan and began a beauty supply store in Detroit. Steven, born “Yeun Sang Yeop” was given the name “Steven” by his parents because they wanted him to become a doctor.
