Susan Aikens was born on July 1, 1963, in the small town of Mount Prospect, Illinois, Chicago. But she grew up in Alaska because her mother moved with her to the state when she was still a child. Growing up in the sparsely populated state, she came to love the place mainly because of its abundant wildlife, landscape, forest, and mountains. Sue Aikens’ continued appearance on the show seems to be coming to an end as the TV personality has an ongoing legal tussle with the producers of the TV documentary. She filed a lawsuit against them in February 2017, claiming that the term and conditions by which she is made to work have made the working environment unsafe which has, in turn, caused her emotional stress. Explaining further, she said the producers make her work without a face mask or helmet which had been detrimental to her health.
