Tamara Braun is known globally as an actress who specializes in soap operas, sitcoms, and television series. The award-winning actress has had a successful career which has spanned over two decades and she has featured in over 25 films and series. Tamara is known for her roles as Carly Corinthos and Kim Nero in General Hospital which boasts of three Guinness World records and the most wins for Outstanding Drama Series at the Daytime Emmy Awards.

The actress was born into a Jewish family on April 18, 1971, in Evanston city, Illinois, United States of America. Her mother, Renata Benett, is a psychiatrist while her father, Benett Braun, is a known psychologist.

She was enrolled in Evanston Township High School which is a public high school situated in her hometown of Evanston. After completing her high school education, Tamara Braun was admitted into the prestigious University of Wisconsin-Madison in Wisconsin. She graduated from college with a degree in Psychology which also happened to be her father’s profession. The American actress, at some point in her life due to her passion for acting, attended a Shakespeare summer class at the famous Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

The American actress became active in the movie industry in 1997, appearing in three different television series which were The Sentinel, City Guys and the famous Buffy the Vampire Slayer. From 1998 up until 2001, she continued to play minor roles appearing in only one episode of the series she was featured in. Tamara also appeared as Ava Vitali in Days of Our Lives which got her a Daytime Emmy Award the following year. She also acted in the 2006 film Little Chenier, which saw her bag the award for Best Actress award at the Honolulu International Film Festival in 2007. The talented actress was brought on to fill the role of Reese Williams in the 2008 series All My Children. Her character in the series was that of a lesbian who alongside her partner Bianca, portrayed by Eden Riegel, became the first gay couple to be married on TV.

Some of the other television films and series that Braun has featured in include Cold Case, Ghost Whisperer, Saving Grace, Limbo Lounge, Stalked by My Ex, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Castle and Supernatural. She is also a two-time recipient of M.Y.S.O Award, winning it in 2000 and 2005.
