This English actor has definitely infused himself into the American entertainment scene, you might remember him from the movies, Inception (2010) and the Revenant (2015) for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. The actor possesses the ability to move between stages, as he has performed on both  British and American stages.

So today, for his fans home and abroad we are checking out all his statistics, beginning with Tom Hardy’s height.

Tom Hardy’s Height

At first glance, we would say he is one of those celebrities whose height you can’t really gauge, he doesn’t look short but he doesn’t look incredibly tall either. We can tell you this for sure, the actor is well above the height of an average man. So after all this talk, what is Tom Hardy’s height?

Hardy stands at 5 feet 9 inches, it is not out of this world, but he’s no midget. The actor has been known to accept movie roles that make him look larger than life, so it’s alarming to see him measure up with some of his taller co stars.

For instance, when he played Bane in Batman; The Dark Knight Rises, he saw ‘eye to eye’ with Christian Bale, who is at least three inches taller than him. It wasn’t special effects people, it was a trick as old as time. Two words… shoe lifts. The actor, who once described himself as a ‘petite bourgeois boy from London,’ is accustomed to starring across taller actors, even actresses, and shoe lifts always do the trick.

He is not the only male in Hollywood looking to add a few inches to their height, people like Simon Cowell, Tom Cruise, and Robert Downey Jr. have been know to stack up a bit, on and off the set. Also, there are some celebs who share Tom Hardy’s height, just in case you want to compare.

Mark Zuckerberg, Ian Somerhalder and Pharrell all stand as tall as the Revenant actor.

Tom Hardy’s Weight

Tom Hardy’s height and weight have both been altered for movie parts. We already know he wears lifts, but did you see the actor before he took on the part of Bane in Batman: The Dark Knight Rises? That transformation was the thing of dreams and it got people talking about Hardy more and more.

In the Batman, he movie held an alarming transformation, but that was not the first time he had to totally change his build, in the 2008 movie, Bronson where he played a young man who was sentenced to seven years in prison for robbing a post office ended up spending three decades in solitary confinement.

Also, in the movie Warrior (2011), where he played an MMA fighter and ex-soldier, his body underwent some serious changes. When talking about what he had to do for Bronson, he said, ‘For Bronson, I put on about 7lbs a week —  with no steroids.’

In the absence of steroids, this is what the actor ended up doing, ‘ In the end, I’d put on about 2 and a half stone by eating chicken and rice, which was my staple diet throughout the day. Then I’d have a pizza, Häagen-Dazs, and Coca-Cola: So not good stuff, but  I had to put weight on.’

Some would say his role as Bane required him to look like a balance between his Bronson and Warrior size. He had barely three months to achieve that feat by gaining 30 pounds, and he succeeded very well if we say so ourselves. The actor currently weighs 82 kg, but we aren’t banking on that for long as he is in the habit of bulking up now and then.

Body Measurements

In addition to the actor’s height and weight, we have some of Tom’s additional statistics here for you. His chest is an impressive 45 inches, his waist size is 34 inches, and his biceps measure 16 inches. Wow! He is incredibly buff for a ‘petit bourgeois boy from London’.

Also, here is Tom Hardy’s shoe size. The actor wears a US size 10, a European size 43, and a UK size 9.5. That brings us to the end, we hope we did his statistics some justice.
