Tracy Reiner came into the world with the given name of Tracy Henry on the 7th of July 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is the product of the union between Michael Henry, a former college football player, and Penny Marshall an actress cum movie director. Unfortunately, her parents’ relationship did not survive for long after her birth as they both parted ways.
The young Tracy spent a better part of her formative years in New Mexico with her maternal grandparents Marjorie Marshall and Anthony Marshall after her parents’ separation. Her mum Penny relocated to Los Angeles in pursuit of a career in the entertainment industry. By the time she clocked eight, her mum had already met and married movie director and with time, Tracy had to join her mum and stepdad in Los Angeles.
Tracy later drops her biological father’s last name to assume the last name of Rob Reiner who adopted her as his own daughter after his marriage to Tracy’s mum which lasted for 10 years. Tracy is obviously of American nationality but with mixed ethnicity of English, Scottish as well as Irish. As a result of her parent’s profession, she got exposed to the world of entertainment from her formative years.
Her educational qualifications indicate that she is a college graduate; she went to Colfax Avenue School and a French academic institution where she earned competence in the French language. Her movie director uncle, Garry Marshall made her debut role possible in his movie titled The Flamingo Kid which came to light in 1984.
