Early Life

Tracy Spiridakos is a Greek-Canadian actress who was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on the 20th of February 1988 to George and Anastasia Spiridakos.

Tracy had a passion for acting right from her junior high school days when she featured in several plays. She later attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba where she studied acting. In 2000, she graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg.

In August 2014, Spiridakos participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge also known as the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to help raise awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). In her spare time, she unwinds after a stressful day by spending time with friends and family or playing video games.

Spiridakos is also known to keep her personal life private. In December 2012, she was engaged to Canadian actor, Jon Cor but they broke up their engagement and the reason has not been revealed to the public to date. She is currently in a relationship with singer-songwriter, Justin Ruane from Chicago, Illinois. The couple has been together since 2014.

Tracy Spiridakos has featured and starred in quite a number of movies and television series from 2007 to date. In 2007, she had a minor role as a nurse on Supernatural, as Annie on Bionic Woman, and Liz on Aliens in America. In 2008, she appeared in Every Second Counts and as Meredith on The Secret Lives of Second Wives. From 2009 to 2010, as her career grew, Tracy played the lead role of Becky Richards on Majority Rules!. She also landed roles in The L Word, Web of DesiresPsych, Hellcats, Tower PrepThe Boy She Met Online, and Goblin.

From 2011 to 2015, Tracy Spiridakos appeared in Soldiers of the Apocalypse, The Rise of the Planet of Apes, Being Human, Rags, Kill For Me, The Byrd and the Bees, and Episodes. She also landed the lead role of Charlotte Matheson on Revolution and appeared on Bates Motel as Annika Johnson.

Despite all her success, Tracy Spiridakos is not slowing down in her career. From 2016 to date, she has appeared as Nikki Carpenter on MacGyver, Detective Hailey Upton on Chicago P.D, Chicago Med, and Chicago Fire as a recurring character.

After moving to Vancouver in pursuit of her acting career, Tracy Spiridakos made her on-screen debut with a minor role on the television series Supernatural. She continued with other minor roles until 2009 when the Canadian Teletoon comedy series Majority Rules! gave her a first starring role as 15-year-old Becky Richards.

Over the years, she has had major roles in several more shows with some of her notable television credits being Revolution, Bates Motel, and Chicago PD. Due to her amazing performance as Charlotte Matheson in the first season of the NBC television series Revolution, she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television.

Family Life

Tracy Spiridakos was born into a family of five, a number that includes her father, mother, her two brothers, and herself. Her father, George Spiridakos, is from Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. Her brothers are Haralambos (also known as Bobby) and Andrew Spiridakos.

Tracy and her brothers are Canadians by birth, but a few years after she was born, the family moved to Skala, her father’s hometown. As a result that, she got to know more about her Greek ancestry and learned to speak the language fluently. In 1992, her family relocated back to Canada where they established a Greek restaurant in 2002 and called it Olympia Diner. Tracy helped out at the restaurant until she moved to Vancouver to pursue her acting career.

On August 10, 2013, Tracy Spiridakos lost her father to cancer. It was a tough time for the family as George Spiridakos was a man who everyone loved. Tracy never fails to appreciate and remember her father.
