Vanessa Angel is an English-born TV and film actress and former model. She is mainly known for her playing the role of Lisa in the 1990s hit comedy series Weird Science. The actress also starred as Claudia in the 1996 sports comedy film Kingpin.

She was born Vanessa Madeline Angel on November 10, 1966, in Harrow-on-the-Hill, an area of northwest London. Her parents are Elizabeth and Peter Angel.
From a young age, Vanessa loved acting and was very active in her school’s drama club. She got cast in many of her school plays, however, she never dreamed of pursuing a career in acting.
At age 14, Vanessa was spotted in a cafe in her home city of London by the late renowned model agent, Eileen Ford. At age 16, she signed on to the foremost international modeling agency Ford Models, based in New York and therefore relocated to the US. Her modeling career was highly successful and she traveled to various countries across the world and attained international model status. She also graced the covers of prominent international fashion magazines.
Vanessa Angel had her debut movie role in the 1985 comedy film Spies Like Us. The model-turned-actress was handpicked by the movie director to play the role of a Russian spy in the movie.
