Anna Camp is an American actress and singer whose beauty resonates through each movie or television appearance she makes. Who Is Anna Camp

Anna Ragsdale Camp was born in Aiken, South Carolina on the 27th of September, 1982 to parents, Thomas Sewell Camp, a bank executive, and Dee Camp, a democratic party volunteer. Anna has just one older sister named Saluda. During her childhood years, she was raised in Columbia, South Carolina where was enrolled into the Meadowfield Elementary School. In the second grade, she got her first exposure to acting when she was cast in a Drug Abuse Resistance Education production.

For her college education, Anna Camp gained admission into the University of North Carolina School of the Arts to study Fine Arts. Having completed all requirements for a University degree, Anna graduated successfully in 2004 after which she decided to pursue a career as an actress and this decision prompted her to move to New York.

In 2005, Anna played the role of Perfect in Columbinus, her stellar performance made more Hollywood producers consider her for similar roles. As a Broadway theatre performer, Anna Camp earned herself a Lucille Lortel Award for her role in the Off-Broadway play titled The Scene. The following year in 2008, she was cast in the Broadway revival of Equus, where she played the role of Jill Mason alongside established actors, Alan Strang and Daniel Radcliffe. This role, in particular, was described by her as a risky and very uncomfortable one especially when it came to the part of nudity. However, she had to psyche herself up a whole lot in order to bring her cast character to life.

She got a role in the pilot of the ABC television dramedy titled, Cashmere, in 2008. Soon enough she was given the role of Sarah Newlin in the second season of the HBO vampire television series, “True Blood”. This was the role that expanded her fame beyond borders and made her one of the many fan favorites of the show. A fact worth noting is that Anna initially auditioned to play the part of Sookie Stackhouse in “True Blood” but got cast as Sarah Newlin instead.

In 2011, she appeared in the Zach Braff play titled, All New People; acting alongside stars such as Krysten Ritter and Justin Bartha. In 2012, she would land one of her biggest and most career-boosting roles in the musical comedy movie franchise, Pitch Perfect (2012, 2015, and 2017), where she starred as Aubrey Posen.
