Easley formally launched his pro football career in 2014 after he was picked in the first round (29th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He subsequently signed a four-year contract worth $7.3 million with the team on June 23, 2014.

The footballer made his debut appearance in a game against Miami Dolphins on September 7, 2014, after which he was placed on injured on December 17 by his team. Of the 11 games he played in his rookie season, the kick receiver finished with 1 interception, 9 tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 sack. Easley started the 2015 season as a starting defensive tackle, ending his season with two sacks and 15 tackles. He was later released by the Patriots in an unexpected move on April 13, 2016.
