Douglas Brunt is an American novelist and entrepreneur, popular for his Bestsellers novel.
The loving husband of journalist and NBC News correspondent Megyn Kelly and father of three have worked as a full-time author since 2011. Brunt released his first debut novel ‘Ghosts of Manhattan’ in 2012, which became an instant New York Times bestseller.

Douglas Brunt was born on August 25, 1971 (age 46) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as the son of Jacklyn Bray Brunt and Manly Yates Brunt, Jr. He attended the all-boys college, Haverford School in Haverford, Pennsylvania, and completed his tertiary education at Duke University.
Early Career
Brunt started off by working as a consultant for Booz Allen & Hamilton and as a director with a technology incubator called Idealab!.
Before becoming a famous author, he was the CEO of Authentium, Inc., an Internet security company based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He operated the company founded in 1999 with the purpose of providing “security software enabling e-commerce by uniting websites and users in an end-to-end secured transaction environment.
Then in July 2010, all assets, products, licenses, and operations of the Command antivirus division of Authentium were acquired for $4.6 million in cash for products by Cyren, with a possible “earnout” that would raise the final amount to $8 million.
After the successful buyout, Brunt left the company in 2011 to channel his energy on his favorite hobby, writing. Exactly a year later, he released his first novel, ‘Ghosts of Manhattan’, a tale of an unhappy Wall Street insider who struggles to find a way out.
His second novel, ‘The Means,’ released in 2015, tells the story of a conservative trial attorney named Tom Pauley “who is tapped by GOP leaders to campaign for the Governor’s mansion.
This was followed by his third novel ‘Trophy Son,’ released on May 30, 2017.
