Ten-year-old Livingston moved to Russia in 1993 to hone her skills with the hope of pursuing a career in rhythmic gymnastics. There, she trained with Russian professional gymnasts and coaches.
Livingston went on to have a successful professional career as a rhythmic gymnast, winning up to 3 national championships upon her return to her home country of Canada. On the international scene, she took part in the 1998 Commonwealth Games where she won a bronze medal in the Women’s rhythmic clubs and a silver medal in the Women’s rhythmic all-round team.
