Who Is Kenny Loggins?
Kenneth Clark Loggins was born in Everett, Washington, on the 7th of January 1948. His father George Loggins worked as a salesman whilst his mother, Lina (née Massie) was a stay-at-home wife who took care of her kids. He also has three brothers of which he is the youngest. As a kid, his family was resident in Detroit, then moved to Seattle before ending up in Alhambra California. For his education, Kenny Loggins was a student of the San Gabriel Mission High School and by the year 1966, he graduated. Soon after, he pioneered the formation of his first band, Second Helping, through which three singles were released between 1968 and 1969 via Viva Records.
In 1969, he began working with the American psychedelic rock band called, The Electric Prunes. He later lent his songwriting skills to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, for whom he wrote four songs. The band included all four songs in their album called Uncle Charlie & His Dog Teddy. Between 1972 and 1977, he had his own band called “Loggins and Messina” in which seven albums were released. His songwriting prowess came to life after going solo and penning hit soundtracks for different blockbuster films including “Footloose” which got him an Academy Award nomination. The details which received over one million likes and condolence messages on a Facebook page read that Kenny Loggings died in the early hours of Sunday at about 11: a.m. ET. Kenny Loggin is thus alive, in good health, and still going on tours, giving his fans the music that they love and he looks like he is going to be around for many more years to come.
