He was born Lamar N. Miller on April 25, 1991, in Miami to his parents. He attended Miami Killian Senior High School in Miami, Florida where his football tendency started to reflect. After high school, he proceeded to the University of Miami. Lamar was first redshirted for a while in 2009 before he was allowed in the school’s Hurricanes team. He debuted as a running back in 2010, playing in eleven games with one start. Lamar ran 646 yards with 108 carries and made six touchdowns that year.

Having proved himself over the years, Miller was drafted by the Miami Dolphins at the 2012 NFL Draft in the fourth round, he was the 97th overall pick. Lamar joined the Dolphins on a 4-year contract. In his rookie season, he made his first NFL running for 65 yards on 10 carries in the game against the Oaklanders. He ended the season with 250 yards rushing, a touchdown, and 6 passes for 45 yards.

Lamar Miller played for the Dolphins until 2015, finishing the year’s season with a rush of 872 yards and eight touchdowns. He was the only player who broke 800 rushing yards at the time.

Lamar in 2016, signed another four-year contract, this time with the Houston Texans. That year, he made more rushes and more touchdowns and even got better in 2017 with 888 rushing yards, 327 receiving yards, three rushing touchdowns, 36 receptions,  and 3 receiving touchdowns.
