The name Sabina Altynbekova was everywhere in the media and on all social media platforms during and after 2014 Asian under -19 Women’s Volleyball Championship held in Taipei, Taiwan, not for performing badly nor for sustaining any serious injuries at the championship, but for simply being too beautiful to play volleyball, can you imagine that?
The teenage volleyball player from Kazakhstan was accused of distracting the crowds at the tournament with her perfect looks, figure, and stunning features and this got many digging to really know more about this heavenly beauty, here are all the details about her.
Who Is Sabina Altynbekova?
The volleyball beauty was born on the 5 of November in 1996 in Aktobe, Kazakhstan to Abay Altynbekov and Nuripa Altynbekova. She attended a boarding school for the gifted.
Her parents wanted her to study law at the Kazakh University for Humanities and Law, but Sabina chose to pursue a career as a volleyball player.
Carrer/Fame
Although there are no details if she played volleyball during her junior and high school days, it is on record that Altynbekova has also loved sports since childhood. In 2014, she got an opportunity to be among the team representing her country at the 2014 Asian Junior Women’s Volleyball Championship held in Taipei, Taiwan.
Despite the fact that her team did not win the championship (they finished 7th). This tournament changed the life of the young player, she got so much exposure and thanks to the tournament, she is still enjoying the fame and popularity she got from traveling to, Taiwan that year.
Interestingly, it wasn’t Sabina’s skills that brought her the fame she is still basking in to date, but her looks. Everyone was talking about her beauty that it became a distraction to many at the tournament, even her coach Nurlan Sadikov almost got frustrated by the attention Sabina Altynbekova was pulling at the tournament that he was quoted saying the team was “hampered“ by Altynbekova. “The crowd behaves like there is only one player at the championship,” he had added.
Within days, she had fans all across the continent of Asia and then across the globe with people running to the internet to find out more about the stunning beauty. YouTube videos about her training sessions, ones that showed her warming up, giving high-fives to her teammates, or simply standing around were everywhere on the internet, with millions viewing, liking, and eventually sharing them.
Even the Straits-Times reported that Taiwanese fans were seen all over the place holding Kazakhstan flags and arriving almost an hour before a game began simply to get a glimpse of Sabina Altynbekova.
All the media attention and paparazzi soon began to get on the nerves of the beauty getting her to eventually beg fans to stop setting up social media pages about her as she wants to concentrate on playing volleyball and to be famous for that not for anything else.
Her statement was necessary at the time because so many social media accounts were set up in her name by many who claim to be associated with her, there was even a Twitter account with more than 22,000 followers, in her name which she knew nothing about.

Sabina Altynbekova’s parents – Abay Altynbekov and Nuripa Altynbekova were both athletes during their younger days. Her dad was a skier and her mom was a track and field competitor. This clearly explains Sabina’s love and interest in sports right from childhood.

After her fame on social media, modeling agencies have been trooping to her doorsteps, but her parents have strongly kicked against it. Her mother stated emphatically during an interview that her daughter will not go into modeling.
