As earlier stated, Sara Ganim is a media personality who has gained fame for breaking a sensational sex scandal in 2011. She has also worked as a correspondent for the giant news network CNN.
Of Lebanese and German descent, the star reporter was born on September 9, 1987, in Detroit, Michigan, USA. She was, however, brought up in Coral Springs in Florida by her parents Bruce J. Ganim and Franziska S. Ganim. While her father worked with a company, Chemtron, as its vice president, her mother worked with the MEI Healthcare Group in Coral Springs as an executive assistant.
As regards her education, Ganim went to Archbishop McCarthy High School and from there, she moved to Penn State University from where she graduated in 2008 after majoring in Journalism
Her love for journalism is something that has endured for a very long time. When she was still in high school, Sara Ganim wrote for the Sun-Sentinel, and then she wrote for the Daily Collegian when she was in college. She would later go on to have her internship with The Associated Press.
She began working at the Centre Daily Times in 2007. It was while she was still there that she got the lead for the child abuse story against Sandusky.
In 2011, she got hired by The Patriot-News and just a few months later, she made her explosive reporting, detailing the sexual molestation of boys by Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky. The molestation stretched back more than 15 years when she first started reporting it and it involved 8 boys. The news did not only involve the defensive coordinator, but it also brought down the varsity coach, Joe Paterno as well.
By 2012, she had left the newspaper to join CNN with which she became a full-time correspondent. In 2019, she left CNN to work on her book as well as a film documentary. In July of the same year, she became the first Hearst Journalism Fellow of the Brechner Center for Freedom of Information. As part of the fellowship which is at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC), she will help students of the institution in developing investigative reporting projects.
Praised for her boldness and skills as an investigative journalist, Sara Ganim won many awards in her career including a Pulitzer when she was only 24 in 2012. With that, she became the third-youngest person to be so awarded. In 2015, the Society of Professional Journalists awarded her the Sigma Delta Chi Award. Other awards she got include a Pennsylvania Bar Association Award which came early in her career, as well as a Philip Habib Award for Distinguished Public Service in 2015.

As regards her personal life, the CNN woman is now a family woman, she got married in 2018 to Daniel Louis Cevallos who also works as a media personality. Daniel is a legal analyst for both NBC News and MSNBC.
Although it is not clear how the two met, it is known that their first meeting was in Atlanta while working at CNN and they have 13 years age difference between them. The couple tied the knot on May 21 in Manhattan.
Her husband is popular as Danny Cevallos and was born in 1974 in the United States. After graduating from LaSalle College High School, he proceeded to the University of Michigan and then Notre Dame Law School. He is a criminal defense attorney who also works as a legal analyst. Before starting his work in 2017 with MSNBC, he worked with CNN, HLN, and Court TV.
Apart from his work in the media industry, Danny also works with Edelman & Edelman as a counsel while he is as well, a co-founder of Cevallos & Wong, LLP. A top counsel, he has gained admission to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.
In November 2018, the couple welcomed their first child together, a girl named Leyna. Her birth was announced on CNN by Wolf Blitzer.
