Zach Roerig may not necessarily be the first name on a list of American actors, but he definitely has his place. He began as an actor in 2004 and has since then, appeared in a good number of movies and other productions including As the World Turns, One Life to Live, Assassination of a High School President, and The Vampire Diaries for which he is mostly known. Zach Roerig Bio
The actor was born Zachary George Roerig on February 22, 1985, in Montpelier, Ohio. He was brought up with his sister, Emily Roerig, by their parents Andrea and Dan Roerig. Of Polish, English, German, and Irish descent, he came from a family that is into gravestone making and while he was growing up, he helped his father and grandfather in the craft. Because of this, Zach as a kid played around cemeteries seeing it like any other playground.
Unlike many other actors who began acting when they were still very little, Zack grew up playing football and wrestling while he was at Montpelier High School. Although he reveals that his dream job is to work with the Department of Forestry, he went to Barbizon Modeling and Acting School.
Naturally, having been involved in the family business of making monuments since he was able to start tying the lace of his boots, he was supposed to grow up to take over the business, but after going to high school, he decided to give acting a try. Hence, at the age of 16, he enrolled in an acting school in Cleveland. Only three days after he was done with his high school, Roerig was off to New York to pursue his career as an actor.
His first role as a professional actor came in 2004 when he played a Rollerblade Messenger in Law & Order. From 2005 to 2007, Zach Roerig appeared in As the World Turns as Casey Hughes. He would appear in a couple more TV shows before landing a role in Guiding Light in 2007. It was until 2009, however, that he got what would be his biggest role thus far, in The Vampire Diaries which he played in until 2017.
Apart from the TV, Roerig has also had a good number of roles in films since making his film debut in Flutter Kick in 2005. In 2007, he got another role in Tie a Yellow Ribbon followed by Assassination of a High School President in 2008 and then Dear Me and Official Selection in the same year. The other films he has been a part of include Field of Lost Shoes (2014), The Year of Spectacular Men (2017), and The Last Full Measure which is set for a 2019 release.
In total, the actor has taken part in more than twenty productions since he began acting in 2004, and thus far, his career can be described as pretty much successful. More than just an actor, Zach is also a producer who has two movies to his name including Revelation (2013) as co-producer and The Outer Wild (2018) as executive producer.
Wife, Daughter, Dating and Girlfriend
Zach Roerig has not dated many women in the past. Among the first women that he is publicly known to have dated is Alana Turner with whom he had a daughter in 2011. In 2013, he began a legal battle as he sought for the sole custody of his daughter. That, according to legal papers, was because his ex-girlfriend was incarcerated in a Federal prison.
The actor who was 28 years old at the time filed papers demanding that he got full custody of his daughter because Alana Turner had been arrested for different crimes in the past before she got imprisoned in 2013 after pleading guilty to various crimes. Later that year, the blonde-haired actor was successful in his bid to have his daughter’s full custody.
Apart from Turner, ‘The Vampire Diaries’ actor’s dating history has also seen him going out with a number of other women including Candice Accola. The two dated from 2011 until 2012 when they finally went their separate ways. The next woman he got involved with was Nathalie Kelley who only a few months after breaking up with him, went on to marry Jordan Burrows.
With that said, he does not still have a wife as he has never been married.

Though with good looks, Zach Roerig is not the tallest man that you will see, he still stands noticeable and he has a good body build. With that said, he has a height of 5 Feet 11 Inch (1.8 m) and a body weight of 75 Kg.
