It is as Zachary Edward Martin that the NFL star was born on November 20, 1990, in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was there that he was brought up alongside his younger brother, Nick Martin who also plays football for the Houston Texans making his draft 2 years after his brother. He also has an elder brother, Josh Martins who like the two younger ones, played the same sport but didn’t make it as a pro.
It is no surprise that Zack and his brothers chose to play football as their father was also a player in his college days. Because of this, the boys got to start playing since they were little kids. More than the influence of his father, his mother has also played important roles in his career. She is seen as one of his most important critics even though it was his father who played the sport.
Zack Martin started his education at the Saint Matthew Catholic School and from there, he moved to Bishop Chatard High School. After completing his high school education, Martins moved to the University of Notre Dame where he joined the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football program.
Having played since his earlier years, as pointed out, Zack also went on to play during his high school and college days and he was named the 2013 Pinstripe Bowl MVP, making him the first person to be named such since Jay Huffman in 1959. In 2014, he entered the NFL Draft and was selected by the Dallas Cowboys as the 6th pick of the first round.

In 2018, he signed an $84 million contract extension with the team that would see him remain there for the next six years. Since making the draft in 2014, he has been a very significant player and has made a lot of accomplishments making 4 Pro Bowls from 2014 to 2017. More so, in 2014 and 2016, he made the First-team All-Pro while in 2015 and 2017 he made the Second-team All-pro.

In case you are wondering whether Zack Martin is a married man, the footballer tied the knot in 2016 with Morgan Eifert. If the name sounds familiar, it is because she is a sister to Tyler Eifert who is also in the NFL playing for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Interestingly enough, it was through Tyler that Zack got to meet Morgan. The two footballers went to college together and were even roommates. It was in their junior years that Zack was introduced to the lady who would go on to become his wife.
After spending a few years together, Martins and Morgan Eifert got married in July of 2016 at the ST. Vincent De Paul Church in Fort Wayne. The event had Nick Martin as the best man while Josh Martin and Tyler Eifert were among the groomsmen.
