The actor and comedian were born on July 26, 1974, in Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A. Not much is known about his education and qualification but sources have it that since his childhood days, he developed an interest in comedy and started grooming himself to become a comedian.
He commenced his career by doing stand-up comedy and after many years in the business, he landed the title ”Funniest Serviceman in America” as his fan base of African-Americans grew, he later won the ”Funniest Black Comedian in San Diego”. With these two titles under his belt, he got a slot as a stand-up comedian in the BET comedy show named Comic View as a host and he made history as the first white man to ever host the show. The comedian was also recognized by Ebony in April 2011 as “Black America’s Favorite White Comic” and as his fame rose, he was prompted to produce stand-up comedies titled ”Breakin’ Out The Park” and ”Urban Legend” which have gone viral. He is also said to be among the headliners on popular black comedian Martin Lawrence’s TV series Martin Lawrence Presents: 1st Amendment Stand-Up on Starz. As an actor, Owen has starred alongside actor and comedian Kevin Hart in the hit comedy Think Like a Man which is based on the book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man written by Steve Harvey. He was also in the films Rebound, Hillbilly Highway, Daddy Day Care and landed a recurring role as Zach on Tyler Perry‘s show House of Payne that was aired on TBS. He was on the popular African-American 2016 comedy Meet the Blacks in which he was cast as Larry.
The actor and comedian’s father is said to be Gary Owens and his mother is Barb Randall. He has six siblings which include two brothers and four sisters named: Dallas Edward Randall, Kyle Soto Randall, Emma Owens, Kayla Owens, Michelle Truss who is half black, and Ashley Muska. His family was not very wealthy when he was growing up, hence, he is said to have spent his early childhood with them, living in a trailer park.
Misfortune, however, struck Gary back in May 2015 when he lost his brother Dallas Randall to an overdose of heroin.
