Ever heard the story about a pretty news reporter who got the shock of her on live TV when a shirtless man asked her out on a date during an interview? Courtney Friel was the reporter.
The incident happened sometime in 2014. Friel was covering a wildfire in Los Angeles. She spotted the shirtless man with a dog and decided to question him. She asked him if he lives in the area. Responding, the shirtless man said:
“Wow, you’re super pretty. Wanna go on a date sometime?”

Courtney Friel was born in U.S Pennsylvania’s largest city – Philadelphia on 22nd April 1980.
Friel’s interest in journalism ha been traced to her High School days. She attended Methacton High School in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
Methacton records about Friel documented that she made regular televised morning announcements and was always taking active roles in the school’s media production assignments. It’s said that a short video she did got her to appear in Channel One News’ student-produced week in Los Angeles.
When Courtney Friel was done with High School, she went to San Diego State University. There, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
Courtney was shy when she was growing up. She was bullied in school and wasn’t comfortable with who she was and found solace in drinking.

Courtney Friel joined KTLA in 2013. Before that, she worked with Fox News Channel (FNC) for six years. With FNC, Friel was a New York Correspondent. Apart from that, she was a fill-in host on “Fox & Friends” and was loved on the “Red Eye” show. Friel spent her last year working as the Entertainment Reporter for KTTV Fox 11 News in LA.
Prior to Friel’s history with FNC, she was an anchor and reporter for KPSP (CBS) in Palm Springs, California. While she hosted “The World Poker Tour” on the Travel Channel, she also, co-anchored Court TV’s “The Saturday Night Solution”.
Friel has worked as a west coast correspondent for FOX’s “America’s Most Wanted” and a field reporter for various media establishments. It’s known that she’s been with Comcast Cable, Oxygen Channel, GOTV Mobile Television, the syndicated program “Extra”, and E! Entertainment,
But then, Friel has revealed that her first job in local news was the primetime anchor at WBBJ (ABC) in Jackson, Tennessee. According to Friel, her job included shooting, editing, and writing her own stories, plus rolling the teleprompter with her right foot during the newscasts.
If you ask Friel about her first day of live television, she’d say it started at 4 Am with a deadly tornado that levelled the town and wrecked her car.
Friel has interviewed many celebrities and, was once nominated for the Emmy award.
Courtney Friel Dating, Married, Divorce
It’s a common knowledge that Courtney Friel was married to Carter Evans, a correspondent for CBS News.
Friel and Evans reportedly meet in San Diego. They dated for several years and decided to become life partners. That was in 2005.
Many believed the couple had a lot in common which would help preserve their marriage. There were journalists and, it was a big deal when they got to work on the same story.
For reasons best known to Friel and Evans, they divorced in 2016 irrespective of the two children they had together.
Friel regards being a mother to the kids as her biggest life accomplishment. Their son, Cash Hudson was born in 2011 and their daughter, in 2012. Her name is Cameron Kaiulani.
Since Friel parted with Evans, she’s been seen with several guys but it’s not certain if she’s going out with any of them.
