George Clooney’s Ex-Girlfriends List, Who Has He Dated or Married?

Gone are the days when Goerge Clooney was prided as one of Hollywood’s hottest playboys. George Clooney’s begun dating random women following the end of his marriage to Talia Balsam after which he swore never to give marriage another try, but little did he know that a certain Lebanese-British lawyer named Amal Alamuddin would walk into his life and give him a ton of reasons to go back on his word.

George made Amal his Mrs in 2014 and the rest is history. Years have gone by and the Amal and Clooney’s union is giving us a couple of goals by the year. They are parents to twins Ella and Alexander Clooney. In celebration of his exit from his pimp ship, we take a look at George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend’s list in chronological order.

George Clooney’s Ex-Girlfriends List

1. Kelly Preston, 1989

After briefly dating Dedee Pfeiffer, the sister of the famous actress, Michelle Pfeiffer, Cloney moved on to romance Kely Preston. They lived together with their pot-bellied pig called Max. It died in 2006. Preston would later marry John Travolta.

2. Talia Balsam, 1989 – 1993

Clooney met Taian Balsam in 1984 and briefly dated her then; two failed relationships later, he returned to her and made her his wife in 1989. Their marriage was short-lived and ended in divorce in 1993. George has since said that he was not mature for marriage at that point and did not give Balsam “a fair shot”. Talia is now married to her Mad Men co-star John Slattery.

3. Kimberly Russell, 1993

After his separation, Clooney began his long-lived playboy lifestyle with actress Kimberly Russell whom he met during a Martini commercial.

4. Karen Duffy, 1995

Following rumors that Clooney was involved with former MTV VJ, Karen Duffy, he made the relationship official when he arrived with her in hand at the 1995 Emmy Awards. It ended in a mutual breakup but they’ve since stuck together as friends.

5. Celine Balitran, 1996 – 1999

Clooney met and fell in love with waitress Celine Balitran in 1996 in Paris where he was shooting The Peacemaker. Balitran, a law student at the time followed him to LA and for a moment many thought they’d take the relationship to the next level but it all came to an end in 1999.

6. Lisa Snowdon, 2000 (on-and-off) – 2005

After rumors linking him with Charlie’s Angels actresses Lucy Liu and Charlize Theron Clooney’s next confirmed relationship was with British model Lisa Snowdon whom he met at a commercial in Spain. They made several red carpet appearances together and dated on and off for five years before calling it quits for good in 2005.

7. Krista Allen, 2002 (on-and-off) – 2008

Clooney became fond of Allen in 2002 and gave her a part in his directorial debut, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. They dated on and off before finally ending things in 2008.

8. Sarah Larson, 2007 – 2008

Clooney began romancing yet another waitress in 2007, this time a cocktail waitress Sarah Larson who is also a former model. They had met during Clooney’s birthday party where they got flirtatious dancing and in her words, “being silly”. She became the first lady Clooney would ever take to the Oscars, but sadly their romance was short-lived. After their split, Larson confessed to Hello Magazine that she would greatly miss Clooney. They have since remained friends.

9. Elisabetta Canalis, 2009 – 2011

Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis got her slice of the Hollywood hunk from 2009 to 2011. Cameras followed them around including vacation trips to Hawaii. They made their red carpet debut at the Venice Film Festival and attended two Academy Award shows together. Their breakup was a difficult one as they narrated in a statement issued via their reps. The reason was said to be due to “personal needs.”

10. Stacy Keibler, 2011 – 2013

During an Oscar party, Clooney met former pro wrestler Stacy Keibler and they soon began dating. In their first year together, Clooney and Keibler seemed inseparable but busy schedules soon began to put a strain on their love. Reports had surfaced that the reason for the break up in 2013 was because Keibler wanted kids and Clooney did not. However, another report through an ABC News source debunked the claims.

11. Amal Alamuddin 2013 – present

In October 2013, George began seeing Amal Alamuddin who was then practicing law in London. Maybe it was her brilliance that attracted him. Amal has worked for high-profile names like WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange and Ukraine former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. Profession-wise, she was nothing like Clooney’s former girls and he was smitten enough to make her his Mrs. May they last forever!
