Moffett was born in London on Christmas day of 1984 to parents who were actors. Her father is Peter Moffett popularly known by his stage name Peter Davison while her mother is Sandra Dickinson. Georgia’s maternal grandfather is Harold Searles, who was one of the pioneers of psychiatric medicine. He specialized in the psychoanalytic treatments of schizophrenia.
Georgia Moffett’s parents are no longer together and her father is currently married to actress Elizabeth Morton, thus she has two half-brothers – Louis and Joel, from her father’s marriage to Morton. Moffett is an alumnus of St Edward’s School, Oxford.
Georgia made her first credited appearance on screen in 1999, she starred in Peak Practice as Nicki Davey when she was 15 years old at the time. The TV series aired on ITV from 1993 to 2002. After this, she starred in several other series including The Second Quest and Like Father Like Son, Where the Heart Is, n Fear, Stress & Anger, The Last Detective.

Two months later, she gave birth to their first child together Olive Tennant and by December of the same year, the couple got married and has remained married ever since.
After Olive, the couple has had two more kids together, Wilfred born in May 2013, and Doris born in November 2015. Before her marriage to Tennant, Georgia Moffett had a son Ty Peter Moffett-Martin (now Ty Peter Tennant) who she had from a previous relationship.
Ty was born in March 2002. After she got married to Tennant in 2011, Tennant adopted Ty. Ty has shown great potential in acting. He attends a drama school in Shepperton owned by his grandmother, Sandra Dickinson, and has appeared in Four Weddings, a reality series alongside his mother. He was also in an episode of Doctor Who Confidential.
In 2010, Ty appeared in a TV commercial for The Great British Teddy Bear Company, He has also played a role in The Five-ish Doctors. Their first daughter Olive is also getting aligned in the family business. She made her acting debut at two playing John Barrowman’s daughter in The Five-ish Doctors.
