Katie Daryl was born on June 7, 1984. Information about her early life and education is scarce, however, she has revealed that her first experience in the media was working as a part-time radio DJ when she was a teenager.
After graduating from high school, she attended Arizona State University for her college education. She continued garnering experience in the media industry, particularly radio, while in college. She worked as a morning show producer on KISS-FM in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1998, she interned at the Sports Fan Radio Network under the auspices of the Association for Women in Sports Media.
Owing to the tough demands of working on morning radio shows, Katie Daryl decided to switch to television after graduating from college. She equally relocated to New York City where she landed a job as a correspondent on the political show Choose or Lose on MTV. Afterward, she moved to Dallas, Texas where she worked briefly in FM radio.
Daryl’s first major television job was as the co-host on The Mark Cuban Show on UPN and CBS. She co-hosted the show for 2 seasons alongside Mark Cuban. In early 2013, Katie Daryl landed her biggest role yet on the music show The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands. She had a highly successful 8-season stint as the host and executive producer of the show between 2013 and 2017. Her brilliant work on the show earned her the CableFAX Program Award for “Best Host – Music” in 2017. Beyond her duties on The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands, she also hosted several other shows on AXS TV.
Also in 2017, the multitalented TV star began the creation of an original music countdown series. The series dubbed The Top Ten Revealed premiered in February 2018 and it features a panel of music experts and rockstars who discuss a diverse range of topics in music.
